Eccentricize Your Life: Ordinary Is Overrated

You do You & amplify your life

The more headspace I create, the more interesting thoughts come to me uninvited. Some slide into my mind unobtrusively and because I enjoy the sensations they give me; I retain them and replay them many times in my imagination. The more we work on our energy, the bigger vessel we become. And when we become a bigger vessel, we can receive greater gifts from the Universe. In order to live a bigger life, we have to upgrade ourselves energetically. The higher the electromagnetic level and stronger the electromagnetic field, the bigger the opportunities and rewards. When we operate at lower energetic level, we tend to manifest poor quality outcomes. When we level up internally, the outer outcomes will expand and level up too – they will be much better quality, way more abundant and oomph. That only confirms that to a great extent, we are recipients of our thoughts and ideas and not necessarily their creators.

In her book “Big Magic” Elizabeth Gilbert writes that we are neither slaves or masters of ideas – we are their partners. She writes that creativity and being receptive to ideas is very enriching. She believes that creativity blesses us with a charmed, interesting and passionate existence. And I want to have a remarkable, passionate and interesting existence.  Elizabeth encourages us to enter into a contract with the idea that we want to partner with. Therefore, I want to spend more time in the game of imagination and visualization. Elizabeth says that we should trust that new and marvellous ideas are looking for human collaborators every single day. Ideas of every kind are constantly galloping towards us, constantly passing us through, constantly trying to get our attention. We should let them know that we are available. My new lifestyle – lifestyle of travel, freedom and flexibility will help me to become more open and available to the new and marvellous ideas. I will be ideas and inspiration magnet. I promise that I will never miss the next idea.

Elizabeth says that ideas are disembodied entities floating in the universe. They are constantly looking for human partners because only through collaboration with a human partner they can manifest and achieve fruition. She writes that ideas are alive, that ideas seek most available human collaborator, that ideas have conscious will, that ideas move from soul to soul, that ideas will always try to seek the swiftest and most efficient conduit to the earth (just as lightning does). Ideas are like violets trying to come to light. I want to become pure divine channel. I want to draw nearer to the Source. Flow, being in the zone, eudaimonia. Eudaimonia means well-deamoned – that is nicely taken care of by some external divine creative spirit guide (ancient Greek). The Greeks and Romans both believed that if you were visited and helped by external genius, your guardian deity was the conduit of your inspiration. They believed that an exceptionally gifted person had a genius, not they were a genius.

I know that in order to invite the genius more often we have to cultivate specific states of mind. If we keep distracting ourselves with reading newspapers, online scrolling or other mind-numbing tasks, we miss many ideas and visits from the genius. Now I understand even better why it is so important to block distractions and cultivate a thought-free states. Creativity is mystical. It is help from mystery.

So make a pact with yourself if you want to live the most vivid and spectacular life that you can. Make an announcement to yourself and the Universe. Don’t be afraid of bright colours or new strange sounds, or big love, or risky decisions, or unfamiliar experiences, or strange endeavours, or sudden changes, or even failure. Have courage to push yourself out of the suffocating insulation of your comfort zone and into the territory of the beautiful and the unknown. Dare to engage more fully with life.

I know that my soul has been waiting for me to wake up to my own existence for years. Gilbert suggests that you should make an announcement to yourself and to the universe that you are (insert whatever applies to you) a dancer, a singer, a writer, an inspiration, a meditator, a traveller, a podcaster, a coach, a blogger, a trendsetter, an explorer, an inventor, a creator, a producer, a spiritual seeker, a heroine, a fashionista, a role model, an inspiration, a self-made millionaire. Hearing these announcements your soul will mobilize, because this is what your soul was born for. Gilbert claims that the proclamation of intent and entitlement is not something you can do just once and then expect miracles; it’s something you must do daily, forever. You have to constantly remind yourself and the cosmos that you are serious about the business of creative living, and that you will never stop creating. Follow your own fascinations, obsessions, and compulsions, trust them.  Create whatever causes a revolution in your heart.

I love these two quotes by Elizabeth Gilbert: “A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life. Living in this manner – continually and stubbornly bringing forth the jewels that are hidden within you – is a fine art, in and of itself.”

“Only when we are at our most playful can divinity finally get serious with us.”
